Pacific Light & Energy Ltd. is looking for a project management to join their team. Pacific Light & Energy Ltd specializes in energy reduction strategies for our clientele which include some of the most identifiable property management and manufacturing companies in Canada.

Job Description

As an Project Management Intern, your primary responsibility (50%-90%) will be assisting the project management team to co-ordinate, manage and execute all aspects of projects from beginning to end. This will include traveling to various project sites to liaise with contractors and clients to deliver/pick up various products/materials. A secondary responsibility (10%-50) will be to assist the Energy Analysis team to create project proposals which detail the scope of work, current technology, replacement technology, energy savings, government incentives, project pay-back and the overall benefits of our projects. Through our training, you will acquire a clear understanding of the Ontario Energy Programs, current lighting technology and our energy reduction solutions.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Ordering materials
  • Creating schedules
  • Coordinating subcontractors
  • Client communications
  • Traveling to job sites
  • Site-walk throughs
  • Supervising subcontractors
  • Maintaining and controlling project budgets
  • Reviewing final invoices
  • Providing project cost reports
  • Assisting with proposal creation and rebate applications when required
  • Working with the operations team to continuously improve departments efficiency


  • General eagerness to learn and contribute to a growing company
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience in the lighting or construction industry is a plus
  • Vehicle and valid driver’s license is 100% required


Internship Length: 6 to 12 months with possibility of post internship full-time position
